Per OCFS regulations, we can accommodate 4 children, per day, under the age of 2.
Children will have ample space to learn and explore with children who are older. By allowing infants to learn from older peers, their independence skills (such as crawling, walking and talking) develop earlier than children who are in programs that segregate children by age/ability.
We can accommodate 8 additional children, per day, over the age of 2.
Children from ages 2-3.5 will have plenty of structured and unstructured time to practice their developmental skills.
Our main focus for this age group is developing social-emotional skills. They learn how to be kind, empathetic, and how to behave with socially appropriate etiquette.
Preschool is included for children registered full time, age 3.5 and older. All thematic curriculum is scaffolded for the younger children, so every one participates at an age appropriate level.
While all children will be school ready (knowing their colors, shapes, numbers, letters, and sight-words), they leave with the more important skills of emotional readiness, curiosity, and a love of learning.
We strive to participate with BBPS UPK and have twice been a finalist for this partnership. We will continue to pursue that goal for the benefit of the program and our families.
In 2023 Bayport-Blue Point School District created a policy that disallows children riding the bus to and from daycare, against Social Service Law 390 and SED Transportation Law. We are working to remedy this issue. As soon as we are able to offer these placements, we will update this section.
We do offer respite care for school age children Kindergarten through Second Grade. Respite is available on all school breaks (except federal holidays), including summer.
